Hi, I’m a violin tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Chamber Music with a focus on violin. I love helping students develop both technical skill and musical understanding through a holistic approach. My lessons integrate music theory, aural skills, and sight reading directly into violin practice. I teach scales, intervals, and harmony through practical bowing and fingering exercises, making concepts easy to apply in real music. This approach helps students understand not just how to play, but why the music works the way it does. I have experience working with music exam candidates, guiding them through repertoire, technique, and performance preparation. I also support students who want to strengthen overall musical fluency, ensuring they become confident and versatile musicians. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether building technical precision, expressive interpretation, or ensemble skills. I emphasise consistent practice, thoughtful reflection, and creative exploration to make learning engaging. My goal is to help students become well-rounded violinists who can play with both confidence and musicality.
