Cienna is a passionate and enthusiastic music teacher who aims to unlock the musical potential in all of her students, inspiring them to progress and achieve their goals. Her dedication to music extends into her lessons by using a blend of technical and musical tuition. I am very passionate about music and music teaching.
- I am using Suzuki method for beginners - Students generally start with this method, and along the way, different methods will be added to enhance the learning curve.
My lessons are always structured. We always start with some sort of listening or theory related exercise, then we go into some technical work. We finish with learning about pieces. Of course, we play games and talk about the Knicks and knacks of music.
I approach my teaching with a method of each child is different. Music theory is covered in class but I do not make children learn to read music straight away- learning to play the violin is hard enough. I teach a large range of music based on what i believe will benefit the students and their own preference.
My teaching technique has originated from Europe, which is where I have been taught. I specialise in all levels of playing from beginner to advanced. I am based on a 'russian/european' technique placing a great attention on note reading and perfecting technique as well as sound. For further details, you are welcome to contact me via email.
Keeping my students engaged and excited about the learning process and ensuring they catch the heart of creativity and joy in music making is important to me. I combine practical instrumental lessons with theory and technical elements to ensure a holistic musical education.
The methodology that I use to teach, depends on how many people are going to be inside the room. If it is just one (what I recommend) I have to see if this person has some experience in music or if it is the first time. Also, if the person wants to learn just for fun, or if needs my help to do some audition, for school or orchestra.
Whether you're just starting out or have been playing for a while, learning the violin is an invaluable skill. I tailor lessons to students' individual goals and make sure that we strive wholeheartedly towards these aspirations whilst also managing to retain an atmosphere of fun.
I teach children and adults the love of music with proven results, excellent technique, and my understanding of each student helps bring out the best of their possibilities, and enjoy music. I focus on giving the student confidence in his/her abilities. I can prepare students for exams as well.
My aproach to teaching strings is to help by playing along and giving harder pieces throughout time. I am nice but strict. Kids do not like having heaps of stress layering on top and giving small bits time to time does get their learning to improve much faster than just forcing all the knowledge into them.
I am a patient and determined teacher. I am versatile and flexible and happy to tailor lessons to the students needs.
Building a relationship between practical skills and theory knowledge. I ensure that my lessons remain engaging and that each student has the freedom to progress at their own rate and study music that they want to learn. If students are learning something that they're really interested in, you've already won half the battle.
My teaching method is to progress in comfort and inspire self-development. Every student learns for different reasons and enjoys music differently. Music is a diverse and eternal art with so many styles and origins from all over the world.
I am a musician/string player with over 25 years experience in assisting students develop their skills on the violin, viola or piano. Lessons are structured to ensure that students develop great technique in a warm and encouraging atmosphere ensuring great progress is made.
I focus first on creating a beautiful sound and learning to listen. I am very technically orientated but I promise you will be having fun while you learn! I specialize in students who are resistant to practice or have had poor experiences elsewhere - my students love to play and love hearing themselves improve! I am happy to prepare for AMEB exams is requested. I also teach music theory and piano.
I will set individual goals with all of my students, whether that be taking AMEB (or other) exams, preparing for auditions, or even just trying to learn a specific piece for fun. My teaching method is flexible; I can adapt to my students wants and needs. I am able to teach music theory, either incorporated into the lesson or as a seperate lesson.

My lessons are geared towards those that love music and want to be taught music in a both classical and contemporary/modern approach as I've been taught from both sides and fell that the theory behind music must be learnt to fully give everything you have into performing.

A good technique comes with a healthy posture and physical/mental well-being and this is my number one priority in the lessons. My teaching material is adaptable depending on the age/level of the student. I shape a progressive repertory depending on the preferred style of music. Each lessons includes a listening session and I briefly teach music history to develop my student's musical awareness.

My name is Adam William Phillips and I have been tutoring Violin, Fiddle and Viola for several years. Students describe me as Collaborative, Friendly and Inspiring. (concealed information) - Which subject(s) do you teach? I have the privilege of teaching classical violin, viola and music theory beyond Grade 8 Trinity and ABRSM. I also tutor beginners piano.
My teaching philosophy is that learning the cello is more than getting trained technically in cello, but it is also important to develop the ability to think and sense music in a broad perspective. Thus, all lessons contain a bit of music appreciation, historical background of the piece to be learned and notions of music theory, all according to student's needs and desire.
I meet students for free for the first time to determine their level and expectations. Once the subject or problem has been identified, I prepare the courses tailored to the student. I do not use a particular method because I believe that every student is different and he needs a very unique approach adapted to the music.
My methods are planed individually, according to each student-abilities and availability. Mostly is guided by the Susuki method. I am very approachable, and some few rules I have is to stop once you get tired (physically or mentally) and to try and play the piece that you would like to play.
