About Laura
I am wrapping up my 8th successful year as a classroom teacher and teaching is really a passion for me. If you are here, you may be frustrated trying to learn something specific and targeted. It is hard to get help because of your learning style, you're too far behind, you're too embarrassed, whatever. I get energy from creating learning experiences that make content accessible for all skill levels. I also know what it is like to succeed in college. I just finished the required coursework for my PhD (in education) and while I love the academic experience, learning is challenging. Besides teaching elementary school, the passion I bring to teaching stems also from my career in higher education where I worked as an administrator, faculty, and international advisor. I recently partnered with my school leadership to pilot a fully synchronous, online school in our district! Teaching successfully online is something I have mastered, and have spent many hours tutoring online. Good pedagogy is hard to find. I know where to find it.
