About Kira
I am a Chemistry tutor with over 2 years of experience and an MSc in Radiochemistry. My passion lies in food chemistry and nutritional science, and I love showing students how Chemistry is part of what they eat every day. Lessons go beyond textbooks, connecting chemical principles to food, health, and cooking. I teach macromolecules such as proteins, carbohydrates, and fats, along with food additives and their effects. Students also explore metabolic processes that explain how nutrients are absorbed and used in the body. My approach also considers career applications, especially for future environmentalists or marine biologists where Chemistry knowledge is key. By working together, learners build strong foundations that lead to confidence in organic synthesis. With patience and practice, even difficult reactions become logical and clear.
