Hi, I grew up in Taiwan and graduated from a National University with a degree of Political science. I had studied Japanese since I was 18 most because I had interest in Japanese culture and movies like Miyazaki Hayao.
While working as an assistant in Taiwan government after graduating from university, I passed many tests and got a full scholarship from Japanese government then headed to Kobe university to study. After got a master degree in law I stayed in Japan and taught Chinese. I was there 9 years in total. Although Mandarin is my first language I speak fluently and write Japanese very well. So back in Taiwan, I taught Japanese in 2 colleges , private lessons both at home and cram schools ; reviewed books in Japanese and translated documents ,books for companies; did conference translations etc. The experience in Japanese teaching and translation is about 20 years
I have just got my green card and moved to US recently and wish to find a teaching job that I can help to build the ability of languages for people who have interest in any of these 2 languages. Also I can help students to get scholarships to study in Japan or Taiwan , even China.
My time is flexible but mainly during day time, so homeschooling kids will be an ideal or any adult wants to learn during day time is also welcome.
I teach all levels and areas according to the needs of the students, just come and learn whatever you like. And of course I can adjust myself to any teaching environment or levels.
Remember, I can teach Japanese students Chinese in Japanese and Chinese Students Japanese in Chinese!!
I have more than 20 years of teaching experience. I cannot count how many students I have taught!
Maybe about 400 at colleges, 200 at private schools and home. The students I taught in colleges they graduated with confidence and were able to find jobs at some Japanese company and I also had a few students went to Japan to study and got jobs in Japan.
Of course there are tests for the Japanese ability levels 1-5, it all depends on your own level!
Yes, if there are materials or books for me to print or review I will need to charge 10-20 %
