About Yvonne
With 5 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, I specialise in teaching jazz and blues vocal improvisation. I focus on scat singing, melodic embellishments, and harmony to help students create their own voice. Lessons include ear training, scale and chord theory, and practical application for improvisation. I work with singers of all levels, combining technical development with expressive growth. Students gain confidence in performing, improvising, and exploring melodic ideas. I emphasise phrasing, stylistic authenticity, and musical understanding.
