About Nicolas

I'm a 20-year-old 3D artist with over six years of experience, and I'm here to help you learn how to use industry-standard programs like Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, Photoshop, and Clip Studio Paint. Whether you're just getting started or want to take your skills to the next level, I can guide you through the process in a clear and friendly way. I speak both English and Spanish, so I can teach in whichever language you're most comfortable with. I'm patient, approachable, and always happy to answer questions to make sure you feel confident and supported as you learn.

About the lesson

My name is Nicolas Heredia, and I have been creating 3D art for about six years. Over that time, I’ve developed strong skills in industry-standard tools such as Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, Photoshop, and Clip Studio Paint. My work primarily focuses on creating game-ready models, and I have experience handling the full 3D pipeline—from sculpting and retopology to UV mapping, texturing, and bringing assets into game engines. This hands-on experience has given me a solid understanding of not just how to use the tools, but how to use them efficiently and professionally in a production environment.

For the past year, I’ve been tutoring students in Maya, helping them understand both the technical and creative aspects of 3D modeling. I’ve worked one-on-one with learners of different ages and experience levels, whether they’re just opening Maya for the first time or working on polishing their portfolio. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex tools into simple, manageable steps and making sure students understand the "why" behind each part of the workflow. I also prioritize giving students not just answers, but the right resources and strategies to find accurate, up-to-date information on their own. This helps them become more self-sufficient artists who can keep learning beyond our sessions. Whether we’re starting with the basics or refining final game assets, I’m here to guide students all the way to production-ready models.
