About Emma
I have a master's degree in English and Creative Writing. I graduated with honors with a GPA of 3.94. I have published a poetry book and am currently writing a murder mystery novel and a poetry/short stories book. I homeschooled my two youngest children and have taught both children and adults on various subjects, including English, Biblical principles, arts and crafts, sewing, (I have been a seamstress for over 30 years.).

In teaching students, I lean towards building scaffolding skills, which breaks down large writing assignments and projects into smaller, digestible activities. This includes writing prompts, grammar and spelling, short essays, peer groups, collaborative settings, and one-on-one instruction. What sets me apart is my willingness to learn with my students and that I have homeschooled my children. This gives me a unique perspective in that I understand that every student learns differently and as the student learns to write creative stories and poetry, I can adapt my teaching methodology to their learning styles. These lessons will be geared for high school students and entry-level college students. I am also available to the new writer who would like to write creatively.
