About Isa

With over 8 years of piano teaching experience and an Advanced Diploma in Piano Performance, I approach each lesson with the belief that music should move both the player and the listener. Technique is essential, but when it's combined with emotional awareness, something magical happens. My greatest joy as a teacher is seeing students connect to their music not just intellectually, but emotionally — using the piano to tell stories and express what words cannot. In every lesson, I guide students through building a strong foundation in theory, proper posture, hand technique, rhythm, and sight-reading. These tools aren’t taught as dry components, but as essential pieces of a bigger picture: expressive performance. I carefully choose repertoire suited to the student’s level and personality, blending classical staples with modern compositions to keep learning dynamic and relevant. I work with students of all ages and backgrounds, adapting each session to the individual’s pace and learning style. Whether you’re a young beginner just exploring the keys or an adult returning to music after a long break, I focus on building confidence, emotional resilience, and musical independence. Together, we’ll celebrate your progress, tackle challenges, and cultivate a lifelong love of piano.

About the lesson

I am committed to fostering creativity and building confidence in my students. I believe that every student has a unique musical voice, and my goal is to help them discover and develop it.

In my lessons, I encourage students to explore a wide range of musical genres, from classical to contemporary, allowing them to find the styles that resonate most with them. This exposure not only broadens their musical horizons but also keeps them engaged and motivated.

I also incorporate improvisation and composition exercises, giving students the tools to create their own music and express their ideas freely. This approach nurtures creativity and helps students develop a deeper understanding of music.

Building confidence is a key aspect of my teaching approach. I provide a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes. Through regular performance opportunities and constructive feedback, I help students develop the self-assurance needed to perform confidently and expressively.

Each lesson is tailored to the individual student's needs and goals. I assess their current abilities and interests, and design a personalized plan that challenges them while ensuring they feel supported.
