About Catherine Dionne
Cat Ashley is a media arts designer and communicative specialist currently based in the Northeast. Incorporating backgrounds in film, design, music composition and theater performance, Ashley creates installation-based work situated under the umbrella of time, gesture and performance emphasized by visual and auditory experiences. Ashley holds an MFA in Digital +Media from Rhode Island School of Design, where she has worked as a tutor for two consecutive years.

Utilizing foundational work in various forms of storytelling, my approach to tutoring is driven by my focus on revision, clarity and embodiment. I’m interested in exploring the relationship between written, spoken, and visual communication through mutual-learning based tutoring. My background in performance and media design have allowed me to assist my peers through process-centered learning. I’m up for any sort of problem solving and am excited to be of assistance!

Catherine is a strong willed, patient, and kind teacher! She tutored my young neurodiverse brother who was struggling with classes and we watched him make a complete 180 after they started working together. The patience and gentle corrective skills that she used really display a level of compassion and energy you don't find often.
