About Aaron
I've recorded and/or performed for over 30 years in rock, blues, jazz, latin, country and classical ensembles. Regularly compose for my own jazz project, The Zen Dilettantes. Have been teaching beginning to advanced drumming/percussion for 25 years, and beginning to intermediate piano/keyboard for 5 years. Studied privately with drummer Clyde Lucas (Ray Charles, Count Basie and Illinois Jacquet), Zoro (Lenny Kravitz, Janet Jackson) and Joe Morello (Dave Brubeck Quartet). Studied piano and theory with Paya Palchuk, Tom Masinter, Linda Camann and Mark Camann.

My first priority is to instill and develop a love of music and learning, then to help pupils acquire the skills, discipline, focus, perseverance and patience to reach their goals. Every person learns differently, and I make every effort to tailor my teaching to the learning style of each student ("Many pathways to the top of the mountain").
