  • 1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

I have always been involved in studies. I completed my bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees (finished in 2013), and I have always taught at higher education and basic education institutions. With the advancement of technology, I am now able to deliver work of good quality, providing individualized support.
  • 2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

Well, actually I can teach subjects from the basic level to the higher education, including the base of engineering such as fluid mecanics, statistics, calculus, mechanics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and physics for high school.
  • 3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

For high school students, I draw a lot of inspiration from the STEM teaching method, given that my undergraduate degree was in physics and my PhD was in mechanical engineering. In this model, I can easily integrate the core concepts of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. For the higher education, I integered the ulralearning method of Scott Young (2019). I believe that the new generation of teachers and students of technology will be linked to these both teaching method.
  • 4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

Well, I consider a good teacher that one which initially empower the student's motivation to study. The technology we have today is very different from what we had 10 years ago; everything is changing rapidly. Working on motivation in an individualized manner, understanding the virtues, values, and weaknesses of the student, should be the primary focus. Furthermore, it is always interesting to use the various online tools, ranging from conducting experiments to solving textbook questions.
  • 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

I have two kids and a dog, and they always show up on my webcam during classes.
  • 6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

Even though life is beautiful, it's not so easy. have been through many difficulties as a student; it was not easy at all because the technology we have today was not available. In addition to the curriculum, as I lived in the countryside, I always missed my family.
  • 7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

My first great passion is my family. With the online classes I can now manage to balance work, leisure, and family. I learned to make craft beer, which has become a hobby, in addition to horseback riding and off-road motorcycles.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions :-P) ?

It's strange to think about it, but it seems that almost everything I did in life directed me here, to be on Superprof, teaching physics, mathematics and engineering. Here, I can integrate technology, knowledge, salary, and family, and I think this is like a dream. :)
