About William
Hello, my name is William and I am heading into my final year reading PPE at Oxford University. I developed a passion for tutoring during my gap year where I tutored students from a variety of different backgrounds and doing a wide range of subjects. I have over 160 hours of experience. Before coming to Oxford, I was a student at City of London School and have familiarity with entrance exams to competitive schools such as this.
My tutoring ethos is based around instilling a sense of excitement for the subject. I am very passionate about the subjects I teach and this is passed on to my tutees. This ensures that they are inspired to engage with my lessons and thus learn better. I also make sure that my students become independent learners that can think for themselves. This combination of excitement and independence maximises the potential of my students and, importantly, enables them to excel in their final exams.
Away from admissions my key tutoring areas are:
GCSE: English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, History
A-Level: English Literature, Economics
If you are interested in my services then please get in touch, I look forward to hearing from you.

William has been doing one to one tuition to my 16 years old son since a few weeks.
My son has significantly improved his level and he seems very engaged in the lessons.
I would definitely recommend William. Will was a student of mine for his last year of A level studies. He has an excellent work ethic and an intelligent approach to learning. He understands both the need for theoretical knowledge and practical techniques, and is good at finding the right balance between them.
Will is a charming and erudite individual who is very easy to talk to and presents himself professionally. I expect that between his excellent people skills, solid work ethic and good technical knowledge, he will make a great tutor.William excelled in a range of subjects (Economics, English, History and Mathematics) at A level, and he would make an exceptional tutor in any of these. He showed an impressive understanding of all the topics studied and went far beyond the confines of the syllabus in a number of areas, reading widely and attending a variety of lectures to broaden his knowledge. Yet although highly intelligent he is refreshingly down to earth in his approach and enjoys communicating ideas in a way that is interesting, clear, accessible and easy to relate to.
William always took pride in his duties as school prefect and showed himself to be a person of great warmth and integrity, making him popular with staff and pupils alike. He was unfailingly patient and considerate, both with his peers and with the younger students. Anyone who has ever had any dealings with William would have no hesitation in recommending him wholeheartedly.View more recommendations
