About Mairi
I want to teach you because nothing has to be boring. We can discuss things like friends having a conversation, bounce ideas off of each other and work through materials so we both feel we are learning. That always seems to be the best approach to writing. I also believe in reading a lot of extra curricular materials that have nothing to do with the subject to inspire different points of view or writing styles.

My name is Mairi Whittle, I am 28. I have been a published journalist and taught other subjects such as music as well. I will look at what your essay or subject is about in depth and ask you to discuss it with me. The idea is that you can explain what you know to me like you would a friend. I will read the subject materials and questions, discussing what seems most applicable or seems to be the best approach. Length of lesson can be twenty minutes to an hour. I have mostly worked with high school and university level.
