About Ethan
In addition to teaching casually online, I’ve also prepared many for the IELTS speaking exams for the last 3 years. Even when meeting with 20 students every week, I still manage to personalize my lessons and give them meaningful feedback and resources. I teach high schoolers primarily and occasionally college students and those who are already working. I hope our first lesson shows you the type of teacher I am, my dedication to reaching your goal, and my teaching style. Whenever someone gets a tutor they want direction. They don’t know what they need to improve or where they need to start to get where they WANT to be. I focus on YOU as a student: your goals, your motivations, and your learning style. My goal isn’t to drag out our lessons so that I can get paid, but to teach you what is most relevant to you, what will make you see the most progress, and do so in a way that’s enjoyable. I also hope that through the various resources and techniques I will provide you with, you’ll be able to answer a lot of the questions you have on your own, leaving your time with me for the really really hard questions.
