About Alexia

I encourage students to discover their own musical voice through improvisation and composition exercises, which deepen their understanding of theory while fostering creativity. My approach adapts fluidly to different learning styles, whether the student is a child just starting out, an adult rekindling their passion, or an advanced player pursuing performance or academic goals. I integrate technology by recording lessons, using backing tracks, and employing digital tools for ear training and theory practice to keep students engaged and informed about their progress. A memorable success was helping a shy teenager overcome performance anxiety and prepare for a recital where they played with confidence and musicality. I work with students across many genres—classical, jazz, pop, and beyond—always ensuring that repertoire choices reflect their personal tastes and aspirations.
