About Jennifer

Because every student has a different learning style, I start by getting to know what methods have/haven't yielded success for you in the past. Then, we tailor our goals and my strategy according to what your needs are: a certain score on a standardized test? A higher grade on your next essay? Learning the fundamentals of essay writing? I have the skills and patience to work with students at all levels academically and use an approach which ensures fundamental skills are mastered, rather than rote memorization.

About the lesson

I've been a voracious reader as far back as I can remember, which led not only to an immense love and appreciation for the written word, but also a skill set in writing that has led me to success at various stages of my life...from being able to write the perfect essay to analyze a classic tome in a new way in high school English, to writing essays that played a huge role in my admittance to Ivy League colleges/a full Trustee Scholarship to USC...my ability to help students achieve top results in English/verbal endeavors stems from a love of storytelling...a desire to figure out the very best way to craft a narrative in a way that speaks to all who encounter what I work on. These strong communication skills have also been invaluable in maintaining my success in the corporate world, as I worked directly with C-suite/other high-level executives on various projects in environments where crafting the perfect pitch, or justification, made all the difference in curating respect and success.
