About Caridad
I graduated with high honors in English and Digital Technology from a top private university. My undergraduate degree was entirely funded by scholarships and grants. In my academic career I wrote two theses that both received highest honors during my thesis defense. I have tutored in English for over 8 years at the high school and college level, helping students with everything from last minute papers to finalizing grad school applications.
I am flexible, adaptable, and well informed on trauma-awareness, neurodiversity, academic accommodation, and other intersectional identities like gender, race, and class, being myself several intersectional identities. I specialize in working with students who have depression, anxiety, adhd, and/or are autistic.

I teach with personalized focus and feedback, using collaboration and problem solving to keep you motivated and focused. A typical session will have an agenda we set out prior to meeting, and we will work through each part together. For applications, essays, and creative writing etc., I will give you feedback and we can go over it together.
My goal is for you to feel relaxed and confident knowing you have me to back you up. We will work well together if you are in high school or undergrad and looking for someone to guide you and offer new perspectives on your essays or creative works.
I have particular expertise in: Romanticism and Romantic Era British Literature, Romantic Era Poetry, Mary Shelley and Frankenstein, Ancient Greek Drama and Tragedy, Gender Studies, Genre Fiction, Publishing.
