I'm a passionate tutor and writer. I have an incredible gift for helping students with any written assignments, whether the student is in first grade, from another country, or has more education than me and years of experience. I use the Tiered Instruction Method with a combination of a Direct Approach and the Guided Comprehension Model. Because students come with different levels of writing skills, some need strategies and techniques presented directly to them with examples. For more advanced writers, I would do something like having the student read the paper aloud, stopping to explain where and why errors occur while demonstrating and guiding them until the paper flows and they are able to point out errors themselves.
