About Amir

I am a Year 12 student at Marryatville High School, currently studying Chemistry, Biology, Mathematical Methods and English Literary Studies; while also in a school choir and a school ensemble. Right now I am in the first semester of Year 12, last year I received a grade above 85% for almost every assignment across every subject. As for hobbies, I enjoy writing and reading, I'm pretty big on history, I love music (I play the violin), painting and embroidery, and I also like to volunteer when I can.

About the lesson

Above all else, I truly enjoy tutoring, especially when my tutee wants to learn.

I have been helping peers both professionally and at no cost since primary school and I have proven myself to be a very versatile teacher, capable of changing my approach when it's not working.

Most importantly, I work with people I tutor to ensure they receive the learning they want and the way they want it. This can be through activities, auditory learning, visual learning, hands-on learning, show-and-practice, or whatever works for you.

Also, learning should never be all work and no play. Brain breaks are the stuff of which success is made!

I am also able to teach less conventional knowledge, such as that regarding current affairs, philosophical concepts, social theories (such as feminism, critical race theory, etc.) and other humanities-related concepts which are largely not taught at school.
