About Rowan
I have over 8 years of experience as a piano tutor and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music. My lessons are personalised to fit each student’s goals and skill level, whether you’re a beginner, advanced player, or working toward mastery. I specialise in pop piano arranging, modern chord voicings, and playing by ear, especially for popular songs. I enjoy teaching a variety of styles, including pop, rock, R&B, and contemporary worship music. My teaching style is supportive and engaging, making lessons fun and motivating. I focus on helping you develop skills that are useful for playing the music you love. Playing by ear and understanding modern chords are key areas I emphasise, so you can create your own arrangements and improvise with confidence. I tailor my support to fit each student’s needs and goals. I work well with Exam Takers and Church Musicians, understanding the unique challenges they face. My lessons help you overcome nerves and build self-assurance. You’ll learn how to perform with confidence and artistry. My method combines practical skills with positive encouragement.
