About Clare
I am a PhD qualified historian who has taught across a range of settings and abilities from school-age students to university level. My specialisms are British 20th century history, planning history and political history, but I also teach general history and research skills. Additionally, I have a background in cinema and film history and enjoy teaching through these mediums as well where applicable.

I mostly teach groups of students in a seminar-style setting, encouraging discussion and exploration of the subjects and topics in hand to ensure that students gain a thorough grounding and knowledge of each area.
I also teach on a one-to-one basis to guide students through subjects and skills and ensure they thoroughly understand the concepts involved and feel confident with them. This approach would be particularly useful for GCSE and A Level students looking for some additional support and tutoring ahead of exams.
