About Yiouli

Hello all dear students. I am a yoga teacher and a cintinuing student of the science of Yoga and I come originally from Cyprus. I have recently moved to Sheffield to share Yoga with the community and to learn from you. I’d like to welcome all students to join my online classes of Beginner-friendly Ashtanga Vinyasa as well as to deepen their knowledge of Ashtanga on and off the mat.

My classes are designed for everyone and we will start from the beginning by learning the basic movements if it is necessary. Therefore I hope we will discover all aspects of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga including postures (asanas), breath (pranayama), bandhas (locks), drishti (gaze) and learn the traditional Primary Series together.
Each class we will aim to add something new to what we have already practiced or deepen our practice in what we already know.

I will make sure the class is accessible for any level of experience.
I am looking forward to meeting you and explore the lineage of Ashtanga Yoga together on the mat.

About the lesson

As an Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga teacher and as I continue to teach and learn myself all the details regarding Ashtanga Practice and teaching methods I aim for my students to be fully aware of what they are doing on the mat and benefit from that.

I like to be in interaction, even with online classes, with my students, keep in touch off the class to check how they are feeling after class or the day before and learn from them as much as they learn from me.

Keeping a track of the progress of my students is of a primary focus when it comes to my teaching method as well as observing the limitations and the potentials of their body and how to make the practice accessible at all times.
