My teaching methodology is based on sound theoretical knowledge of human anatomy and physiology paired with understanding of energy and information flow within and outside the human body. I join Western and Eastern knowledge and wisdom to design and deliver unique classes and sessions.
My method is: meet people where they are. Lessons will be based on your individual level, needs, goals, and intentions; I am merely but a guide. You are your own guru. I will show you the foundations everyone needs to begin/ advance a practice, and you can take these lessons with you wherever you go (into any class, or even stay in your own home). After all, wherever you go...
My teaching method is adaptable to you. In my personal practice, I enjoy starting off with a more cardio-orientated Vinyasa flow and then shifting towards a more power-/stretch-orientated Hatha style. I can cater to any kind of personal intentions, injuries, capabilities and goals though.
My teaching methods are working with the client. This means being flexible and accomodating to each individuals interests and personal circumstances. There is no one size fits all approach when it comes to yoga so by using a yoga therapy approach, I can help support the clients needs.
I offer private or group yoga lessons with a fun and relaxed vibe, primarily vinyasa and Ashtanga based flow classes, with meditation incorporated. Classes can be adjusted to suit the individual student, any levels of experience welcome. My teaching methods are based on honouring the process of the eight limbs of yoga, loving oneself and holding compassion for our bodies.
My teaching method is always set on the foundation of mindfulness and compassion towards ourselves. My classes are nurturing mixed with strength building postures. My goal is to help each student connect their body, mind and spirit through a mindful practice.
You can choose to learn Ashtanga Yoga, traditional Hatha yoga or just combined yoga flow to connect your breath with the movements. Depending on your level I will design individualized yoga sequence for you to get the most out of your practice.
We will first meet and discuss your daily routine over a delicious cup of tea, health state and any injuries you might have to ensure a safe and suitable level of class as well as a preference in style of yoga. I generally teach my students traditional Hatha Vinyasa, Yin (gentle and slow) or a combination of Yin and Yang poses with elements of Ashtanga.
In my yoga classes, I would start up with self awareness and joint exercises which is very important to keep the person engage with the class. Then, Surya Namaskar for few rounds and a short relaxation. After that, I would introduce asanas(poses) which focus on different areas. For example, to loosen hamstring, backbends, core practise, inversions and etc.
My classes involve a good mix of vinyasa teaching styles based on the principles of Ashthanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Bihar School of Yoga practices. Yoga is all about balancing the body, breath and mind, and hence I strive towards delivering a balanced class. I try and tailor my classes based on the requirements of my students.
My vinyasa classes are based on the ancient Indian way of teaching, they last about an hour, and my ashtanga classes are the first serie, they last about an hour and a half, but you must be familiar with ashtanga and the first serie so I can give you the class.
My teaching is based on traditional Hatha Yoga (which is aslo a base for Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga) practises that include Kriya (cleansing techinques), Panayama (breathing techinques), Asana (postures), Mudra (gestures) and Bandha (internal locks).
My teaching method is flexible, what I mean here is I have my own session plan each time before the class, but the sequence can be changed if there is any special needs from the students, such as if the majority of the class want to have more hip opener practice today, then hip opening postures will be added in more if there is not enough in my plan.
My students come from all walks of life. And I have realised over the year that the practice has to fit the student, not the other way around. So working with me is a very personal experience and very specific to your needs and abilities.
As I'm currently undertaking my Yoga Teacher Training, my teaching methodology is still developing. However, my aspiration is to teach to those who are very new to yoga and I intend to teach 'beginners' style of yoga which will be the best fit for my target audience.
Ashtanga Basic & Vinyasa Yoga Karina from KYoga classes are free flowing incorporating Ashtanga Basic and Vinyasa sequences, focusing on strength, core and plenty of poses to get the heart rate going.
Classes are totally tailored to you and your unique body! All fitness levels and shapes and sizes welcome. I am non-judgmental and happy to work with you on your unique goals. This is a PERFECT way to get familiar with yoga/pilates and stretch based movement if you've never tried it before- or would like some experience before attending a studio class.
i plan lessons based on my students needs and goals. But for all my participants i make sure the take away is happy body and a happy mind. it is important to merge both with the true practise of yoga with rhythmic breathing with every asana.
Personal, informative, inclusive, accessible, alignment based and fun. To mindfully lay a solid foundation in movement and body awareness, that is applicable to ones own body and needs on and off the mat.
Hi Please consult the CV attached for details. I am a multifaceted individual with a long background in creativity and Art. I have become increasingly interested in physical and emotional wellbeing and recently completed a 200 hour teacher training with Spanda School in Fremantle.
By observing the students group I may adjust or offer modifications of each postures, the class can be dynamic, restful, more rebalancing focused or a little bit of everything depends on the needs of my students, breath control can be emphasized through the whole class so that we can really go deeper and benefit the most from each asanas.
My unique style of teaching is aimed towards making the practice easy to do for my students, as the style is focused on making sure that each and every small detail about a posture is explained properly so that even a complex posture can be performed with a certain ease and grace. This will help a person to achieve unlimited progress and development in a short amount of time.
In my classes I'll include a modern approach to the ancient tradition of yoga. I am able to offer flow yoga, relaxing yoga and meditation classes. I will be teaching you the physical Asana (poses) of yoga but will also include meditation, relaxation and if you're interested information about the philosophy of yoga.
I teach vinyasa flow and incorporate arm balancing in my classes. I strongly encourage students to find their own balance of effort and ease in developing their intuition to guide them in their practice. I am an ardent astanga student and arm balance enthusiast allowing me to incorporate a balance of yin and yang in my teaching.
My teaching methodology is based on the individual students' needs, abilities and what they would like to achieve or learn. All sessions are entirely unique and adaptable to my students. I am able to teach students of all physical abilities.
Respect each individual evolution. Ashtanga Yoga is a very demanding practice but we should never force our body to achieve some Yoga pose. I think it is very important to practice minimum 4 days a week, even if it is on your own. So, I would like my students to really commit to this practice that I love.
I am an inclusive teacher, open for all ages and situations. I base my classes on what you need as a student in this present moment. I'll provide the tools and the support to guide you towards becoming the best version of yourself.
I am an authentic teacher and can draw on traditions of sacred healing, using the five elements earth, fire, water, ether and air- as part of teaching oneness of inner-outer universe. Of course can also focus on purely yoga asanas on a physical aspect.
