About Olubunmi
In addition to my experience as a tutor and academic researcher, I have worked for close to thirty years as a creative writer, television scriptwriter and film producer and dramatist. I have published three novels – Silhouette (1991), Halima (2000)and Three Women (2006), - shortlisted for the Association of Nigerian Author prize, and one book for young people – Fabulous Four (2000) – won the Matatu Prize for children’s literature, several short stories in anthologies and literary Journals, edited a collection of short stories for the Association of Nigerian Authors - Trembling Leaves (1998), written stage plays, radio plays, written and produced television dramas and serials including, Golden Cage (1996), and We the People (2002). I have directed for stage, produced and worked on the development of The Black Journal (2007), a television magazine program with the CBC in Halifax. I have also published two illustrated children’s series: Adventures of Anansi and Sewa, and Legends of Africa Series. I am the writer, producer/presenter of the Sankofa Pan African Series, which has attracted about 4 million views. I also have several illustrated stories, published at Sankofa Story Books.

I have a Ph.D. in Women's Studies/Film Studies and a Master's in Gender/Literature. I also worked at the writing centers of two universities for over 4years. I am happy to tutor undergraduates and graduate students. I am only available for online lessons.
