About Silas
My teaching approach is centered on combining strong technique with expressive creativity. I help students build a solid foundation in sight-reading, finger strength, and keyboard coordination. We’ll explore how to shape melodies, create mood through dynamics, and use phrasing to tell a musical story. I also include memory training for performance, helping students feel confident and calm on stage or in recordings. I’m a passionate piano teacher with over 3 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano. My teaching blends tradition with innovation, guiding students through classical technique while embracing the possibilities of modern music-making. Whether you're into music production, songwriting, or exploring hybrid genres, I create lessons that meet you where your creativity lives.
I use MIDI technology, online recording tools, and digital notation apps to make learning engaging and relevant. These tools not only enhance practice but help students understand how music works in today’s world. My studio is a space where you can experiment, learn, and grow.
