About Josh

Hi Everyone! It's great to get a chance to introduce myself. I've got lots of interests and hobbies that have connected me to lots of people. I love travelling, climbing, reading, piano, politics, debating and cooking. I hope we have some common areas here as I'd love to talk and bond over them.

At school I was sure to immerse myself in everything available, becoming a scholar in drama, academics and music. Through an awful lot of hard work I was the top performing student at both GCSE and A-Level across a year of 120 people. Here I set up a mentor scheme, mentored intensively myself, wrote various published journalistic articles and won various subject awards.

I really wanted to engage my brain in a different way after school before running straight to university. Cooking had always been a great passion of mine, so I found myself at Culinary School. This was one of the best experiences of my life, it opened me up to working with all different age groups, backgrounds and abilities. Perhaps one of the most valuable skills I learned here and on subsequent travels was the ability to form a connection with anyone. Socialising is a key strength of mine. It served me well to get into a Michelin Star Restaurant following my graduation where I worked for several months before receiving a few offers to go and travel.

Now at University I find all of the experiences invaluable. I am on track to receive a first in my first year of War Studies and History. It's a very niche degree, my hope with it is to go into diplomacy and de-escalate some international tension. My role as VP of the Politics Society (The largest student led society at Kings) has been fantastic in introducing me to important public figures, industry leaders and journalists.

Enough about me however, please tell me more about you and how I can help you :).
