About Stéphanie

Bonjour and welcome to your French class!

My name is Stéphanie and I am a professional French tutor and French content writer and translator between English and French.

I have worked teaching French classes for a number of years and I have been giving both French and English grinds. I have worked with children and adults, around various language registers from formal to casual styles, going through school book exercises ahead of tests and exams when required. Every year I accompanyes Leaving cert students as they set for their exam preps journey.
These classes embody an original approach facilitated through a dynamic interactive unfolding where the student plays an active part in the lesson.
Each lesson is designed for the student specifically.
Together with the students of French we will make way and make steady progress as we work around their needs and learning aims.
I have also been helping students preparing for their DELF exams and language tests as part of their EU job application.

Your French class is unique and aims at bringing you in touch with the French language in a natural and relaxed way.

My background is diverse as I have been working in several professions, namely translation, content writing and reviewing, childcare, travel agent, language grinds and conversation classes, international trade, University administration, and dance schools.
I have lived and worked internationally and I am passionate about cultural exchanges and languages.

My academic studies: marketing degree, BA in Foreign Literature and Civilisations (English Studies), MA in Translation Studies, Diplôme de compétences en langues from the French rectorate. PBT instructor.

About the lesson

Beginners, intermediate, advanced fluent French speakers. These are lessons for all levels.

Welcome to your French class. It is designed especially for you. Bonjour à tous, et bienvenue à votre cours de français fait sur mesure rien que pour vous. You will be learning French at your pace so you can converse with native speakers with ease and feel more confident as you communicate orally or in writing.

Learn how to speak like a local from the comfort of your home, and if you are already fluent, put your French hat on and let's get the practice going to cultivate the flow which will be your best personal one and take it from there.

The French lessons focus primarily on the spoken aspect of the language the French language. So it becomes more accessible and spontaneous overtime. Learning can be an enjoyable activity, even when a deadline is to be met.

We will also work with writing skills based on your specific needs or targets, and focusing on grammar, vocabulary, tenses, punctuation, spelling, or any element of the language are the most relevant to you.

There are many ways we can work through learning French and during your first class we will discuss your current situation as a French student and what you would like to learn or where you would like to see some improvements. Step by step we will then bring you to your next level up, working at your pace, as creatively or as academically as you would like it to be.

A special note for Leaving Cert students: start getting ready for your French exams, you will get stronger by the week as you navigate through your curriculum.
