About Nicole
I’m a 17-year-old student-athlete based in Manhattan and an incoming student at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. I earned a 1590 SAT score and have firsthand experience balancing demanding academics, standardized test preparation, athletics, and a busy schedule.
As a student-athlete, I’ve learned the importance of discipline, consistency, preparation, and making the most of every hour. I bring that same mindset to tutoring while keeping lessons approachable and encouraging.
I especially enjoy working with middle school and high school students in math, English, and SAT preparation, whether they are trying to strengthen their fundamentals, improve their grades, prepare for an important exam, or push an already strong score even higher.

I focus on helping students understand how to think through a problem, not just memorize an answer. For math, I break difficult concepts into clear steps and teach students how to recognize common question patterns. For English, I focus on reading comprehension, grammar, writing structure, and strategies for quickly identifying what a question is really testing.
I also share the test-taking techniques that helped me earn a 1590 SAT score, including time management, elimination strategies, and ways to avoid common mistakes.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of the student’s current challenges and goals. We then work through a concept together, practice several representative problems, and finish with more challenging questions that the student completes independently. I introduce new testing strategies that can only be learned through experience, and skipped on textbooks.
What sets me apart is that I recently went through the same academic and standardized-testing process myself. I understand the pressure students face and can share strategies that are practical, current, and based on firsthand experience. My goal is to make lessons encouraging and efficient while helping students become more confident and independent.
My lessons are best suited for middle school and early high school students who want to get a head start to college admissions, including students preparing for school exams, the SAT, or those who want additional support or enrichment in math and English. I can adapt lessons to each student’s level, learning style, and specific academic goals.
