I am a European Chess Union (ECU) qualified Chess tutor, specialising in teaching beginners and intermediate players. I have a passion for Chess and recognise the importance in making the learning experience both engaging and fun. Chess is challenging, but not impossible!

Having worked with schools for many years, ensuring that students are engaged during lessons is paramount. I ensure that my lessons are interactive and encourage questions to be asked, no matter how trivial they may seem. I am patient with my students as learning Chess won't happen overnight, but I know the joy it can bring when a student understands a concept and then cannot wait to introduce that into their games.

Perfect! My son has been receiving the lessons with Rob for several months, and since then he is more motivated, more interested in learning new techniques and movements, and he has improved a lot.
