About Raul
I'm currently a first year medical student at the University of Sheffield, and have a passion for teaching students. Whilst grades are never the sole defining trait of a person, they are very important to keep future opportunities open. I have a lot of experience in helping students strategically improve their grades, without it becoming too intensive for them. I achieved A*A*AA at A Level and 9 grade 9s and 1 grade 7 at GCSE. Each student is different to another, and so my lessons will all be different and tailored to the student's specific needs. The feature that is common to all of them is that they will succeed. My lessons will always be very interactive, and will push towards active learning of the student with my support to develop the skills and confidence to thrive in exams and higher education. Most lessons will be one hour, but times can vary depending on the student's preferences and availability. I have been tutoring for over five years now, including at one of the leading grammar schools in the North West. I have also led a peer tutoring scheme, and worked with a large team to offer support to over one hundred students. The lessons are primarily for GCSE and A Level students, however I can also tutor KS3 and have experience in preparing students for 11+ Entrance Exams.
