About William

I am a U.S.C.F. (U.S. Chess Federation) certified Chess Coach and Tournament Director with over 20 years of playing experience in over 90 tournaments within New England. I have lectured at local chess clubs and ran as chess club president in my home town. I have a passion for the Noble Game of Kings and welcome all to elevate their tactical and strategic thinking.

About the lesson

Offering chess instruction for beginner/intermediate chess players who are serious about their improvement. I cover a wide range of topics including Tactics, Openings, Middle Games, Endgames, Positional Understanding, Gambits, Chess notation, Chess History, and Individual Game Analysis. After accessing an individuals strengths and weaknesses, I design a personal training regimen designed to strengthen a chess players individual weakness elevating their game as a whole to obtain personal goals and self improvement

Perfect! I had an outstanding chess lesson with William. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and did a fantastic job tailoring the session specifically to my skill level and goals. He went above and beyond by coming to my place, staying longer than scheduled to make sure I fully understood the concepts, and offering a very fair rate. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping his students improve. I highly recommend William to anyone looking to learn chess or take their game to the next level.
