About Syeda

Hello everyone, I’m Syeda! I’m a recent 2025 HSC graduate with a 98 ATAR.

Having recently gone through the school system myself - I understand. I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges of moving between schools and adapting to different teaching styles and expectations. Living through that has given me insight into how students can approach learning with confidence and develop strategies that truly work for them.

I focus on explaining concepts clearly and patiently, helping students feel less intimidated by Math and English while building deeper understanding and problem-solving skills. Alongside my studies, I’ve helped siblings and classmates improve their results over time, supporting students as they moved from C/B grades to stronger outcomes through clearer explanations and consistent practice.

I enjoy working with students of different abilities and learning styles, and I focus on building both understanding and confidence in a calm, supportive way.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on building strong foundational understanding while developing clear problem-solving and critical thinking skills. As a recent HSC graduate, I’m familiar with how both Maths and English are taught in schools today, and what students are expected to know at each stage.
I aim to create a calm and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through mistakes as part of the learning process. Lessons are adapted and tailored to each student’s needs and goals.

For students preparing for NAPLAN, OC, or selective school exams, lessons can include exam-style questions, problem-solving strategies, comprehension techniques, and guidance in writing, reasoning, and analytical thinking.
While Maths is the main focus for selective prep, English lessons are structured to support literacy, writing, and critical reading skills in a clear and approachable way.

Additionally, I am also able to support students with extra learning and special needs. Coming from a background with a special needs sibling, I've grown up and spent 5+ years teaching and structuring lessons to meet his requirements, both academically and in developing communication and social skills.

Lessons may be any length according to your needs and requirements and are charged hourly from a range of $30-$45 depending on the grade.
