My favourite and most used teaching method is 'I do, we do, you do'. This works in a group as, I explain the task and possibly give a demonstration, then the group does tries it all together, and lastly, each student completes the task on their own.
This, however, will only be used effectively if it suits the students and their needs.
I base my classes on development and general assistance of vocabulary, essay writing, grammar, etc. (English)
