About Alexandra

Over the past three years, I have mostly tutored year 7 students in Mathematics during school lessons.Apart from this, I have experience with teaching GCSE level Maths and sciences as well to younger pupils at my secondary school. I believe through this, I have honed patience, communication, and the ability to break down and explain topics simply.

Apart from having tutored others, I myself have been tutored for a period leading up to both AS and A2 exams- so I understand how important it is to feel comfortable enough with your tutor to be able to stop them whether it's because their pace doesn't suit you or because you're utterly and completely lost!

About the lesson

I have just completed my third year studying medicine at Imperial College London. Prior to this, I studied 3 sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) and Maths for A-Levels- gaining AAAB respectively. As well as attaining 6A*s and 2As in IGCSE.

With the experience that I have, I am comfortable to give lessons in Primary level English, Mathematics and basic sciences. For secondary level: Mathematics and sciences GCSE. Apart from this, I am more than happy to provide support and detailed advice sessions for med school application! Whether this is for PS, UKCAT, interviews, etc. Been there, done that- I know the struggle!

The pace of our lessons and the particular contents will be entirely up to you! However, from experience, I have found that first going through the basics and becoming familiar with the underlying content is always a good place to begin so we can find out what it is that you find confusing! From there on, practice questions- especially past papers for GCSE level and above will surely consolidate what you've learnt!

I have experience particularly in teaching 11+ maths & GCSE 3 sciences + maths.

I am super enthusiastic, outgoing and friendly- it's always a pleasure to meet new students!
