About Katie

I am a 3rd Year medical student currently studying at Queen Mary University London. I am a recent graduate from the University of St. Andrews, I graduated with a Medicine BSc (Hons) first class. Whilst in St. Andrews I found a passion for helping others learn through mentoring those new to the university. I also am passionate about music and enjoy guiding students to develop their confidence in both performance and analysis of music to help them flourish as an artist. I hold an enhanced DBS check. I can tutor students in biology, chemistry and music A-Level and am also able to offer help with preparation for medicine interviews and admissions tests (UCAT). I can also tutor students in GCSE maths, biology, chemistry and music. I strive for others to improve their understanding of new concepts aiming for them to bring this knowledge forward with them into their work. I also want students to be comfortable in lessons and feel able to ask questions. During lessons I can use different teaching styles to match the student's needs and will check learning throughout to ensure students fully understand a topic and will feel confident answering exam questions on it.
