About David
I am an upcoming tutor, yet I have many qualifications in the subjects taught. I am a Music Major at the University of Pittsburgh, and I've been playing and learning about the saxophone for over 7 years. I have plaed both jazz and classical extensively, and even performed at the Navy Band Saxophone Symposium. I have taken many courses in Music at the University of Pittsburgh that include theory, composition, improvisation, and private lessons. As for my test prep and math qualifications, I got a 34 on the ACT, with a perfect 36 on the Math Section. I have extensive knowledge of all of the Math topics that are found in the ACT, from Pre-Algebra to Pre-Calculus, and can explain concepts in a way that allows for true understanding, rather than wrote memorization. I also have a good understanding of both the SAT/ACT, the structure, and tips and tricks used to tackle it. I am passionate about tutoring because I think personal instruction can be one of the most productive things one can do for their education in anything, let alone complicated subjects like math, standardized tests, and music.
