About Michael
Hillcrest High School graduate, class of 2021:
- Being a recent graduate, the subjects I teach are still fresh in my mind. But most importantly, I'm still a student. I just barely finished sitting through what your child is sitting through now, so I understand the struggles they might be facing much more.
- International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme candidate, rigorous knowledge of subjects I'm teaching
- University of Utah Computer Science major
Teaching experience:
- Mathnasium mathematics instructor. I worked with students from elementary school to college, so I can adapt to the situation that your student is in.
- Peer tutor at Hillcrest High School for National Honor Society, primarily in mathematics. I worked with students around my age (15-17), so I can provide extremely effective tutoring to your student if they're in the same age group (see it as me being specialized with same age students, but don't forget that I still have experience with other age groups).

I like seeing success as a result of my contribution. It helps my pride. On a more serious note, it's just feels good to help each other out. The old rule of treating others how you want to be treated is even applicable to tutoring.
I also feel that my specific background itself enables me to enjoy tutoring. I approach teaching from my experience as a student so it's much more involved and real than a formula that some people might follow indifferently. In other words, it's fun because I've been where you're student's been.
