About Griffin

Hey! My name is Griffin, and I am really excited about the opportunity of working with you. I have a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from Liberty University. I graduated with a 4.0 after taking/teaching classes such as General Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Microbiology, and Analytical Chemistry. Throughout undergrad, I worked as a TA in General Biology and Biochemistry. I loved simplifying complex topics and watching my students' eyes light up when everything finally clicked! Currently, I am in my last year of medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. I passed Step 1 on my first attempt, and I scored in the 75th percentile on Step 2. For anyone looking to pursue this career path, I would thoroughly enjoy helping you along this journey as well!

About the lesson

First off, there are so many tutors out there, so thank you for considering me! I am positive that I can help you achieve your goals. What makes me special is my ability to simplify complex topics by utilizing analogies from your everyday life. It's why I love teaching! I also will help you find what study strategies work for you. Everyone is different, so not everyone will learn the same. We'll work with spaced-repetition, drawing, quizzes, and whatever else you need to make the material stick. I personalize each lesson to you by saving all lesson notes in OneNote, which I send to you after every meeting. We'll also work to cut down on wasted study time, so you can get back to whatever you enjoy most! I can also bridge the material you're learning now to a future career in medicine. As a medical student graduating in May, I have lived the ins and outs of the journey from high school to nearly residency. I would really enjoy demystifying any parts of the path that seem daunting to you! The first session (which is free!) will be for us to get to know each other and for you to see my teaching style. At the end, if you feel we make a good match, I'll be available for whatever you need! I look forward to working with you!!
