About Hans
Originally from Mauritius, I have been studying in London for the past 3 years and Cape Town is the city I currently call home. French and English are my first languages but I also have a basic knowledge of Afrikaans and German. I became extremely interested in Plasma Physics after attending a talk about Tokamak research a year ago at University College London. I have just finished my third year at Imperial College London in Physics with Theoretical Physics and am on Dean's List with an average of 80%.

I believe that students should develop an intuitive approach to science instead of simply learning by heart as is often encouraged by the UK's academic teaching methodology. Through teaching younger students, I have noticed that explaining and showing pupils where physical concepts can be observed in real life can greatly improve their understanding of the subject. This link between theory and our everyday lives is one of the most prominent aspects of my teaching style.
