I'm currently employed in primary school as a teacher's aide, and am completing my 4th year of university studying Secondary Education.
I'm friendly, approachable, and value a positive Teacher-Student relationship to support learning.
I acknowledge learning happens all around us all the time, not just in a classroom! I use a variety of approaches to support learning, not just reading from a textbook.

My lessons put the student at the center. Each child is different, and I strive to use a child's individual interests to create lessons that are engaging and facilitate true learning.
I structure lessons aligned with cognitive load theory, which asserts that information needs to be presented in a digestible manner, and avoid information overload.
If students do not have homework to bring to lessons, I will focus on teaching according to the NSW syllabus to further their learning.
