About Lottie

I am a university student studying veterinary medicine, and have just completed a second degree in Cellular and Molecular Medicine. I have a passion for sciences but also learn German as a continued interest from school in my spare time. I absolutely love animals and travelling where I can :)

About the lesson

As a student myself, I know how exam boards ask questions, and what things students need to focus on. I take the content right back to basics and ensure my students 100% understand what we are learning before building up - something schools cannot always do due to time constraints.
I've tutored since secondary school, and now having completed 3 years at vet school, and completed a second degree in Cellular and Molecular Medicine, I have mastered the skill of studying, have extensive applicable biology knowledge, and most importantly know how to pass exams.

As a tutor, I like to ask questions and get a full conversation going about the said subject with the student rather than me just speaking at you - something a lot of students find uncomfortable and difficult...don't sweat it, so did I! It's so important to be able to fully understand why a process happens, or why an exam board wants you to know a seemingly random piece of information - it all links to application questions, and the preparation for that is something I excel in! Importantly, I can teach how to answer the exam questions and how to know what an exam board wants from you - this is a vital aspect in getting the grades you want, and after a while makes the exams seem a lot easier!!

Fundamentally, I aim to make every lesson comfortable and a judgement free zone. I had trouble grasping concepts in school, and had to work hard myself to figure out what worked for me. I feel this has made me a better teacher overall.
