About Hyunjeong
I am a certified 5th Dan Taekwondo Master. I started practicing Taekwondo in Korea, consistently trained, and participated in many poomsae competitions, winning several awards. I graduated from the Taekwondo Department at Kyunghee University. I have teaching experience in Korea, the United States, and Canada, with a total teaching career spanning over 10 years. Currently, I am teaching many students as a Taekwondo Master in Canada and have decided to offer online lessons to share my talents with more people.
My specialty is poomsae, so if you aim to compete in poomsae tournaments, I can certainly provide significant help. For beginners, I will help you understand what Taekwondo is and make the learning experience enjoyable and fun with easy and engaging drills, so you can enjoy Taekwondo after each lesson :)

My lessons will be tailored according to each individual's level and goals.
- For beginners, we will start by learning the basics of Taekwondo. This includes basic Taekwondo terminology, basic hand movements, stances, basic kicks, and basic poomsae training.
- For intermediate students, we will review the basics and focus on how to make these techniques stronger and more accurate.
- For advanced students, we will skip the basics and focus on improving proficiency and accessing more advanced techniques. This will include conditioning and repetitive training to enhance skills.
- For students aiming to improve their poomsae skills, we will practice methods used by actual poomsae athletes and focus on areas that effectively help improve poomsae performance through repetitive training. This includes exercises to improve flexibility, training for high and powerful kicks, precise use of force, and mastering waist twists.
