About Theresa
I graduated from Middlesex County College with my Associates degree in Liberal Arts. I then graduated from Kean University with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I have a dual certification in the state of NJ as an elementary teacher with math specialization in grades 5-8. I currently work as a 5th grade math teacher, but I also have experience teaching 8th grade honors algebra and tutoring 7th grade pre-algebra.

I have experience with analyzing data to determine learning levels and modifying lessons to meet the needs of individual learners. I integrate a variety of websites throughout my lessons to aid visual learners and to help with retention. I typically use a word problem to demonstrate concepts and procedures for solving. I then have my students work another problem together with me, and then I ask students to try a few on their own to check for understanding.
