About Arjun
3 Universities, 2 degrees, 4 Years in Medical School and an extensive employment history on multiple continents has taught me that belief and mind are the only things stopping us from being able to achieve anything we want to. As I complete my Final Year at Hull-York Medical School and prepare to begin an internship in the States, I feel keen to share this knowledge. I teach my lessons not only through hard-learning and factual knowledge via exam questions, answers and various interactive learning styles; but also through imparting wisdom on how to approach stressful situations, unexpected scenarios, academic problems which may catch us by surprise and how to overcome these with a clear and unclouded mind. I have 7-years of teaching experience teaching Biology, Anatomy & Physiology from the primary level to the graduate university level and have given presentations at international medical conferences and have pitched novel scientific technologies to industry experts. Many of these accomplishments are things I would have never thought myself capable of, so I know what it means to start from the ground up! I am able to help with personal statements, the University entrance process, coursework and entrance exam preparation. Most of all, I believe in every student and am always willing to put in the time & effort.

Have you ever stared at chunky textbook and thought to yourself, how many times am I going to have to read this? We are a generation who love games, and it's through play that we learn best too. If over 7-years of teaching experience, a 2:1 honours degree in life sciences, 4-years in Medical School & failing more times than I can count before succeeding has taught me anything; it's that anything can be taught if taught in the right way! I teach basic KS3, GCSE & A-Level Cellular, Plant & Human Biology. As well as specialised courses in Human Anatomy, Physiology, Molecular Biology, Disease Pathophysiology and Therapeutics aimed at the University and Graduate Levels. I would also be happy to work on personal statements with students as well as interview preparation during the University application process, having an extensive and in-depth knowledge and experience of this via Undergraduate and Graduate Medical School entrance. My learning style has always been complex, and I'm willing to sit down with my students to discover what type of learning style works best for them. I teach via a range of interactive methods and games via an interactive whiteboard as well as formal methods which draw on past-papers and question books. It never gets old to see that "ah-ha!" moment in students and that is why I continue to teach, feel free to send me an enquiry!
