About Mary
I love math, and I spend a lot of time studying math books and do math puzzle in my free time. Last year, I found a tutor and we studied together, which really helped me and was also fun. With their help, I got the certificate of excellence of the AMC 8 contest. I wish I can share my knowledge to other people to by tudoring. I feel like tutoring allows student and teacher to make connection and understand each other. At school, some kids are being "ignored" or feel bored studying math, I hope I can understand my student's needs, teach them in the way they like. And most importantly, have fun and enjoy math! :D

My lessons are designed for elementary and middle school students.
My teaching method is to give students fun projects and logic problems, then help them along the way by discussing and answer questions. Being a student, I know that sometime school work is boring, and interest is the motivation of learning, so I will make my lesson easy to understand and fun. I want to help students understand math, not simply memorizing formula and methods.
Lesson plan:
I will make a lesson plan for each individual student as they are all different, I can't use the same lesson plan for everyone. In order to be efficient, I will focus on the part where they need to improve, and walkthrough/skip the part where they already knew. The following is a general lesson plan for guideline.
