Abi, Masters of Chemistry tutoring Science and Maths to all ages in the Perth area
Methodology
My main goal is to increase students confidence in the classroom; by helping them understand the topic they are more likely to be engaged in their school classes. I have a very interactive way of teaching and focus each lesson on the individual needs of the student. I work with both the parents, students and teachers where possible to align the content of my classes with the content at school to help the pupils to not fall behind and to further their understanding. I form creative lesson plans to cater to students with a range of abilities and to keep students engaged.
Background
I am a graduate from the University of Manchester with a Masters in Chemistry. I have been tutoring for 7 years now, both as a private tutor and an in-school tutor, at both local and international schools. I have also worked with special educational needs pupils, helping them to gain a deeper understanding of their subjects and gain confidence in the classroom.

Worked for two years as a tutor for the Tutor Trust, an educational charity that provides tuition to underprivileged students and SEN students.
Worked within a Swiss boarding school offering extra tuition to both low and high performing students in Maths and Science.
Throughout my time at university, I privately tutored a small number of students looking to study Chemistry at university, all of these passed their exams and went on the further study in their chosen subject.
Worked with the Royal Society of Chemistry, visiting local schools and colleges and running chemistry themed workshops to encourage students into STEM subjects.
