About Kathy
I have had 1 years experience in tutoring and have had success in tutoring a grade 3 student in fractions on the topic of understanding fractions and equivalent fractions.
I have also taught different topics in English including phonetics, grammar, and reading comprehension.

I generally tutor for an hour where I would tutor half an hour in English and half an hour in maths.
My lessons are generally for the grade1-grade4 level student. Although that does not mean that I would tutor students in the upper primary levels. Depending on my circumstances I may tutor students at these grade levels. I have a Diploma of Education in primary teaching.
My techniques and methodology are to find out the student's level or ability, and then to build upon what they already know in these subjects. My aim in tutoring is to get the student at a level where they are operating at the class level or even above it. It is to give the student confidence in their learning.
