About Mark
I am a musician, producer and educator with over 20 years of professional experience working across live performance, studio production and live electronic/hybrid music.
I have toured internationally, released music across a range of projects, and developed a practice focused on the intersection of composition, sound design and performance. Alongside my creative work, I have spent more than 13 years teaching music production, helping students move from initial ideas through to finished tracks and live performance setups.
My work centres around Ableton Live as a creative system rather than just a production tool. I specialise in electronic music production, sound design, modular synthesis concepts, generative music systems and performance-based workflows, including VCV Rack, Max for Live and Ableton as a modular instrument.

My lessons are personalised around your musical interests, goals and experience level. Rather than following a rigid curriculum, I focus on helping students make the music they want to create, developing practical skills through real-world projects and hands-on learning.
With over 20 years of experience as a touring musician and producer, and 13 years as a music educator, I bring both professional industry experience and proven teaching expertise to every session.

• Mixing and finishing tracks
• Live performance techniques and setups
• Ableton as a Modular system
• VCV Rack and modular synthesis concepts
• Max for Live and generative music techniques

• Suitable for complete beginners through to advanced producers
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and available online and in person in Manchester. All are welcome, from those opening Ableton for the first time to more experienced musicians looking to develop their production, performance, sound design or creative technology skills.
