About Jaron

I am a music producer, DJ, and audio engineer with over 15 years combined experience in the music industry. Under my alias @nightbeginsmusic, I've been using Ableton Live for 10 years, and love teaching others how to translate what's in their head to the DAW. I believe creation is the most powerful gift we have in life, and I honor it deeply. While creating music is a powerful thing, at its core it should be an ENJOYABLE experience! Music is my ultimate passion in life, and helping others achieve their musical goals while having a blast doing it is all I can hope for!

About the lesson

Production & DJ'ing should be fun, and the right mindset is key! I'll teach you not only the technical side of music, but what I've learned over many years as an artist. Specifically: my mindset of how to never get writer's block, how to love creating, and how to have fun! I welcome all skill levels, from absolute beginners who have never written a song, to advanced producers looking to hone their technical skills. I teach all forms of music production, including Ableton basics, workflow, EQ, compression, distortion, stereo imaging, mixing, mastering, songwriting, and getting out of a creative rut. My code: I promise I will always have patience, respect, and open dialogue in our lessons. What you want to learn, I will teach. These lessons are for YOU, not me!

1) When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
I got into music when I was about 8 years old, and naturally gravitated toward DJing and production because of how creative and expressive it is. What started as curiosity quickly turned into something I couldn’t stop doing!
2) What makes you passionate about your subject?
I love that music blends creativity with technical skill. There’s always something new to learn, and there’s nothing like the feeling of building something from scratch or creating a moment people connect with.
3) What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?
I enjoy helping people break through that initial barrier where everything feels overwhelming. Seeing things click for someone is the best part. I focus on making lessons feel simple, practical, and actually fun! That’s what makes it stick.
4) Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.
I’ve been inspired by a mix of artists and teachers over the years, especially people who balance creativity with precision. Deadmau5, Rufus Du Sol, Skrillex to name a few. The ones who stood out made things feel approachable, not complicated, and that’s something I try to carry into my own teaching.

Consistency, patience, and keeping it fun. The people who improve the most are the ones who show up regularly, stay curious, and don’t overthink the process!
